Who are we?

Hudson-Mohawk NFP is a CCL chapter. Our chapter presently has three"Teaching Couples" and one "Promoter Couple". If you are interested in becoming either a CCL Teaching or Promoting Couple, please contact us.

Promoter Couple: Mike & Amy Richardson

Mike and Amy became the Promoter Couple for Hudson-Mohawk NFP in 2006. They dedicate their time and energy to getting the word out about NFP and encourage course enrollment. Mike and Amy feel NFP has been a great blessing to their marriage and want to share God's plan for marriage and sexuality with you. Mike and Amy have been married since 2003, and have 2 beautiful daughters and 1 boy.

Teaching Couple: Tom & Emily Sederstrand

Tom and Emily were certified in 2005 by CCL to teach the Sympto-Thermal Method of NFP. Tom and Emily are passionate about the benefits to NFP and volunteer their time to teach and educate other couples about how awesome our fertility is and how we can cooperate with God and nature with this wonderful gift. Tom and Emily have been married since 1998 and have 4 beautiful children.

Additionally, Emily is a public speaker and fertility educator. She delivers high-energy talks on topics ranging from women’s reproductive health to marriage & home life to cultivating a relationship with Christ. Her work includes television commercials, educational videos, conference workshops and event speaking. If you are interested in having Emily speak at your event, please contact us.

Teaching Couple: Stephen & Betsy Accani

Steve and Betsy Acciani learned Natural Family Planning from CCL teaching couple Ron and Andrea Gronsky in Oakland, CA, and have used it for the 22 years of their marriage. They became a Teaching Couple in 1996 after a training that was held by the Couple to Couple League here in upstate NY. They have found that NFP has been great in all stages of their marriage: having children, post-partum, nursing, and now mid-life and menopause. They have found that the more they trust in the language of our bodies, given to us by God, the stronger marriage can be, and the easier
it is to find our prupose in life.

Teaching Couple: Ron & Linda LaClair

Ron and Linda have been married for over twenty-five years. As a couple, they are deeply committed to Catholic teaching. They began practicing Natural Family Planning (NFP), the only church-accepted method of birth control, after an empty nest baby refilled the nest. NFP is fertility awareness, or knowing a woman's fertility or infertility by reading her signs. They also practice Responsible Parenthood (RP), which is the virtuous application of NFP. They have found as they practiced NFP and RP that their love for one another increased. A chance opportunity to become certified to teach arose for Ron and Linda in the late 1990's. They enjoy traveling throughout the Capital District to share their experiences and the rich blessings that NFP and RP have brought them.
